MagicPort provides data, information, software solutions and digital applications for ship suppliers, ship agents, seafarers, ship managers and other persons involved in ship operations.

In this privacy policy, the words “Platform” or “Platforms” refer to the SaaS platforms and website offered by MagicPort as a whole, “we”, “us”, “our” and “MagicPort” refers to MagicPort and “you” and “user” refers to you, the MagicPort user.

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

The information we collect from our users helps us to effectively deliver our services, solutions and platforms and to continuously improve the user experience on the platform. These are the types of information we collect:

Information you provide to us. You provide information when you provide, search, read and view content on the Platform, register as a user, use the functionalities available on the platforms, purchase a subscription and/or communicate with us through our contact information or contact forms. As a result of those actions, you may provide us with the following information:

Payment Information: Your payment data will be processed by the payment processors available on our Platform (Stripe), which will process and store your data securely and for the sole purpose of processing the purchase of products. MagicPort reserves the right to contract any payment platform available on the market, which processes your data for the sole purpose of processing transactions within the website.

GOOGLE Analytics. We use Google Analytics provided by Google, Inc. of the United States ("Google"). These tools and technologies collect and analyze certain types of information, such as IP addresses, device and software identifiers, referring and exit URLs, feature usage metrics and statistics, usage and purchase history, media access control address (MAC address), unique mobile device identifiers, and other similar information through the use of cookies. The information generated by Google Analytics (including your IP address) may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We use Google Analytics data collection to improve the website and our service.

Social networks: On our Platform you will find links and functions linked to different social networks or services, where you can share your information. It is advisable to consult the privacy and data protection policy of each social network used on our platform.

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.



Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under this Policy or other terms we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to provide you with our products or services. In this case, we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us, but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.



Personal data provided by users through the Platform will be retained for the time necessary to provide the functionalities available on the platform or until the user maintains the account on the platform or decides to close it or until MagicPort closes and deletes the user's account. MagicPort may retain personal data for a longer period provided that the user has consented to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. In addition, MagicPort may be obliged to retain personal data for a longer period provided that this is required for compliance with a legal obligation or by order of an authority. Once the retention period has expired, the personal data will be deleted. Therefore, the right of access, the right of deletion, the right of rectification and the right to data portability cannot be asserted after the retention period has expired.



In general, we use the information we collect primarily to provide, maintain, protect and improve our platform and our current services. We use personal information collected through our platform as described below:

  • Provide information and SaaS solutions on MagicPort Platform

  • User registration.

  • Identify you as a user in our system.

  • Provide the subscriptions.

  • Provide the functionalities of the SaaS products on the Platform

  • Understand and improve your experience using our Platform.

  • Send you related information, including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.

  • Communicate with you about upcoming events, offers and news about content, products and services offered by MagicPort and our partners.

  • Link or combine your information with other data we obtain from third parties to help us understand your needs and provide you with better service.

Marketing: We strive to provide you with choices regarding certain personal data uses, particularly around marketing and advertising. We have established the following personal data control mechanisms:

We may use your Identity, Contact, Technical, Usage and Profile Data to form a view on what we think you may want or need, or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which products, services and offers may be relevant for you (we call this marketing).

Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we are not in the business of selling it to others. We share customer information only as described below.

Third-Party Service Providers. We use third party services to perform certain functions on our platform. Some of these functions and services are: Building and hosting the platforms, processing payments (Stripe), analyzing data (Google Analytics), performing tracking and analytics functions on the platforms, sending emails, marketing services and search results.

These third-party services and tools may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use that information for other purposes. Information shared with these third-party services will be treated and stored in accordance with their respective privacy policies and our privacy policy.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with this Policy and the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

Email marketing: We use the information provided by users to conduct marketing campaigns and send relevant information about our products and services. By registering as a user on the platform, you authorize us to use your information for email marketing. Business Transfers. In the event MagicPort creates, merges with, or is acquired by another entity, your information will likely be transferred. MagicPort will send you an email or post a prominent notice on our platform before your information becomes subject to another privacy policy.

Protection of MagicPort and Others. We release personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce or apply our terms and conditions and other agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of MagicPort, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Anonymous Information. MagicPort uses anonymous browsing information collected automatically by our servers primarily to help us administer and improve the platform. We may also use aggregated anonymous information to provide information about the Platform to potential business partners and other unaffiliated entities. This information is not personally identifiable.



MagicPort follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once MagicPort receives it. We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you provide through the website and platform. If transactions are processed on the website, transaction information is transmitted to and from the platform in encrypted form using industry-standard SSL connections to help protect such information from interception. We restrict authorized access to your personal information to those persons who have a legitimate need to know that information and to those persons you have authorized to have access to that information.

No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while MagicPort strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.



Users who provide information through our Platform, as data subjects, have the right to access, rectify, download or delete their information, as well as to restrict and oppose certain processing of their information. While some of these rights apply generally, others only apply in certain limited circumstances. These rights are described below:

  • Access and portability: to access and know what information is stored on our servers, you can send us your request through our contact information (commonly known as a "data subject access request").

  • Rectification, restriction, limitation and deletion: You may also rectify, restrict, limit or erase (delete) much of your information, though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us. Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.

  • Right to be informed: Users of our Platform will be informed, upon request, about what data we collect, how it is used, how long it is kept and whether it is shared with third parties.

  • Object: Where we process your data based on our legitimate interests, as explained above, or in the public interest, you may object to this processing in certain circumstances. In such cases, we will stop processing your information unless we have legitimate grounds to continue processing it or where necessary for legal reasons.

We comply with the requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - European Regulations) and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA - Singapore regulation), regarding the protection of children's personal information. Our site is not intended for children and we do not collect information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete that information.

If you disclose your information to others, whether other users or MagicPort vendors, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them.
