Established by Shanghai Huitong Shipping Co., Ltd. in February 1997, Zhoushan Qifan Shipyard has cemented its reputation in the shipbuilding sector. Initially set up at Ganlan Town's West Pier within Dinghai District of Zhoushan City, the facility was moved to Xizhangtang at West Wharf (Huaqishan) in September 2004, prompted by governmental urban planning initiatives. Its current location in the northern industrial zone on Zhoushan Island, recognized as a national base for offshore fishing, offers a prime location with close proximity to key harbors and seamless connectivity to Ningbo City via the Zhoushan Cross Sea Bridge, giving it distinct logistical and developmental edge.

With an official capital registration of 67.5 million yuan complemented by an overall investment nearing 100 million yuan, the Zhoushan Qifan Shipyard stands on a 37,729 square meter expanse. It features a construction space of 4,000 square meters and boasts a coastal line stretching 300 meters. The premises are dedicated to the design, construction, and maintenance of a diversified fleet, including but not limited to chemical and oil tankers, engineering vessels, deck barges, suction dredgers, and roll-on/roll-off ships for vehicles and passengers, among others. It's outfitted with several building berths and docks for outfitting, in addition to possessing state-of-the-art manufacturing equipments and a thorough safety and production management framework.
