Since its inception in 1956, Yizheng Yangzi Shipbuilding Company Limited has grown into a leading group focused on shipbuilding and marine engineering production. Originating as a shipbuilding cooperative, it has undergone notable developments, such as moving its location in 1975, transitioning to a shareholding model in 1999, inaugurating a new plant in 2005, and achieving the milestone of being the first shipbuilding company from China to list its shares in Singapore in 2007 under the ticker BS6.

These are advantageously positioned along the banks of the Yangtze River within Jiangsu Province, specifically in the locales of Jingjiang City, Taixing City, and Taicang City, maintaining a proximity of about 170 kilometers to significant urban centers such as Shanghai and Nanjing. Additionally, the group operates two ship design firms based in Shanghai.

Boasting assets valued at over 63 billion RMB and occupying more than 5 million square meters, the organization stands at the forefront of the shipbuilding sector. It's supported by a workforce exceeding 30,000 and is equipped with three sizable dry docks, three large to medium slipways, and a yearly production capability of 6 million deadweight tons. The company excels in the production of various vessel types, including sizable container ships, bulk carriers, oil and chemical tankers, alongside LNG, LEG, LPG, and other vessels designed for clean energy transport, in addition to diverse multipurpose ships and marine engineering machinery.
