About

REPREMAR is a leading Group of Companies engaged in ship agency, freight forwarding, port operations, integral logistics services, cargo GSA for airlines, real estate and special projects.
Our mother company, REPREMAR Shipping, is a well-known port agency and back-office services provider for cruises, container ships, tankers, bulk carriers and feeder vessels operating at any regional port.

Founded in 1946 and formerly belonged to the Vestey Group (UK), in 1982 was taken over by the Pena family. Under its new ownership, the company was reorganized and experienced a significant expansion of its activities and scope of services.
First-class shipping companies have trusted REPREMAR Shipping as its local partner in this region, setting up joint-venture ship agency companies in Uruguay and Argentina, as were the cases of COSCO, CHINA SHIPPING and CSAV back in 1993, 2005 and 2008 respectively.

A strong expertise in tankers operating at the SBM in José Ignacio, at the ANCAP Terminal in Montevideo and Bulkers at Nueva Palmira Port.
In addition, we have a well-consolidated leadership in the cruise liner sector, handling approximately 54% of total calls at Montevideo and Punta del Este. In 2010 we founded Punta del Este Tender Services, in order to cope with the increasing demand of services to cruise passengers.

The rhythm of the globalized world and its new demands, led to the creation of REPREMAR Logistics. Originally conceived in 1996 as a division of REPREMAR Shipping to develop Air & Ocean cargo, REPREMAR Logistics became independent on May 1st, 1999. Today, being one of the leading regional freight forwarders involved in the Asia - South America East Coast trade, REPREMAR Logistics is keeping the pace and continues to expand its services and representations based on a dynamic and professional management, as well as committed personnel with a strong dedication to customer service and satisfaction.
The year 2008 marks the entry of the REPREMAR Group to the air cargo GSA activities, through its specialized business unit, REPREMAR Air Cargo. After these years of hard work and stable growth we are proud to say that REPREMAR Air Cargo has expanded its service coverage to other countries in the region as Paraguay and Bolivia becoming the designated agent by major leading Airlines to develop their air cargo sales in South America.
Throughout our history, we have always been proactive to explore and generate partnerships and alliances with our principals and customers, strengthening our relationships and seeking for the diversification of our businesses.

Today, being a regional Group of Companies gives us the competitive edge to look for economies of scale and synergies that will take our companies and partnerships to further expand its business activities in the South American marketplace.
