Ocean Liner Services (OLS) is Namibia‘s premier Ships Agency and provides the full spectrum of ships agency services, and as part of the Manica Group of companies also provides logistics, freight and related maritime services. Although Ocean Liner Services has been involved in ships agency since 1924, the company was officially established in 2005 in order to refocus the group‘s existing liner and non-liner ships agency services into a single service offering.

Today, Ocean Liner Services has a team of highly experienced ships agents and logistics personnel (the ones above) ready to assist all types of vessels that call on Walvis Bay. Ocean Liner Services provides complete ships agency and husbandry services, 24 hours - 7 days a week. OLS operates from the port of Walvis Bay and service all types of liner and non-liner vessels including container ships, tankers, fishing trawlers, RO-ROs, rigs, supply vessels, drill-ships, naval vessels, passenger and cruise ships. We arrange everything for the master/owners and charterers within the confines of the law. Through our sister companies we also provide complete logistics services for break-bulk, dry-bulk and reefer transhipments, shipping, cross-border freight, import and exports, warehousing and short-haul transport.

• Permits & Quotations: We negotiate pricing, services, supplies and provisions.
• Port Liaison: We liaise on vessel movements, berth bookings and allocations.
• Cargo logistics: Operations planning, monitoring and co-ordination with port authorities, stevedores, importers and exporters.
• Bunker supply: Supply lubricants, waste removal, hatch cleaning and hatch sealing.
• Cargo and other marine surveys: Arrange repairs and maintenance (dry docks), shore power generators, cranes, forklifts and cartage.
• Medical assistance: Arrange medical attention and supplies; safe return back home of injured or deceased crew.
• Managing of stowaways: Attend to local process re local authorities.
• Cash: Arrange and supply of cash to master.
• Testing: Water sampling and analysis; dispatching of samples and ships mail.
• Crew Changes: Arrange transit & work visas, shuttle services with meet-and-assist.
• Other Arrangements: Accommodation, office space, IT requirements, car hire, mobile telecommunication, internet devices and work visas for contractors and expats.
