Inaugurated by the veteran shipbuilding organization, Wuxi Shipyard, which has been operational in Jiangsu Province since 1956, Jiangsu Suyang Marine Co., Ltd., commonly referred to as Suyang Shipyard, made its strategic move to Yangzhong, nestled on the banks of the Yangtze River, in 2007. This enterprise prides itself on its cadre of professional management staff, with core team members boasting over two decades of collaborative experience. Over the years, Suyang Shipyard has earned accolades for its contributions to the manufacture of compact, multi-purpose marine vessels, with a particular prowess in constructing tugboats and roll-on/roll-off (RO-RO) passenger ferries.

Suyang Shipyard has consistently adhered to the pinnacle of international standards in the quality and functionality of its offerings, evolving in response to the dynamic demands of its global clientele. The shipyard’s contribution to the realm of marine engineering through its series of support vessels, including but not limited to Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS), Platform Supply Vessels (PSV), Offshore Supply Dogs (OSD), and Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) vessels, is highly regarded on the world stage.

For over three decades, the company has amassed considerable expertise in the construction of RO-RO passenger ferries designed for the ebb and flow of the Yangtze River. More recently, Suyang Shipyard has expanded its prowess into the South American market. Early in 2019, the shipyard celebrated the handover of an 89-meter RO-RO passenger ferry to a client in South America and is currently in the process of crafting a sister ship, an 87-meter venture aimed at bolstering the transportation of goods and passengers among the South American isles.
