Founded on August 11, 2006, Huatai Heavy Industry (Nantong) Ltd. Co specializes in the construction of ships, offshore metal constructions, and substantial fluid storage solutions. Spanning an area of 114,500 square meters, its location on the prime coastline of the Yangtze River, in close proximity to major expressways and just 130 km away from Shanghai, enhances its accessibility by both water and land.

These facilities include a 30,000 square meters welding workshop, a 20,000-square-meter construction platform, a product yard covering 30,000 square meters, outfitting piers capable of handling 10,000 tons, alongside berth capacities of 50,000 and 80,000 tons. Upon completion, Huatai is poised to achieve an annual production threshold exceeding 50 million tons and generating a revenue stream that could surpass 30 billion, aiming within the E25-400 million range.

As part of its preparatory activities, the company is vigorously progressing, marked by the initiation of construction for vital infrastructure such as a 200-ton gantry crane, the first 50,000-ton berth, and associated piping workshops. The expectation is set for the first phase of the project to be operational by March 2008.
