In December 2004, Grade One Marine Shipyard Sdn. Bhd. (GOMS) was established through a collaboration between Syarikat Tingkat Maju and Adjoin Corporation. This venture marked the beginning of a specialized shipyard aimed at serving various maritime sectors.
Location and FacilitiesPositioned within the Lumut Port Industrial Park in Perak, Malaysia, the premises of GOMS are strategically located to facilitate ship repairs, shipbuilding, and operations in the oil & gas industry. The layout includes three significant hangars that cover an area of 12,200 square meters. Additionally, there is an expansive open fabrication space that spans 105,600 square meters, accompanied by a dedicated hard stand parking bay area spanning 15,481 square meters. Completing the facility's capabilities are two piers, each extending 70 meters in length.
Equipment and CapacityTo support its extensive range of marine and offshore industry services, GOMS is outfitted with an array of sophisticated equipment. Central to its operational capabilities is a Boat Hoist Marine Travelift with a lifting capacity of 700 tonnes. The shipyard also utilizes overhead gantry cranes, two crawler cranes with capacities of 150 and 280 tonnes respectively, a CNC plasma cutting machine, along with various other mechanical and electrical machinery designed for efficient shipyard operations.
