Introduction to Our Shipyard

Founded in 1917, our enterprise initially focused on mending steel components of wooden ships and gradually transitioned into a workshop dedicated to working on riveted vessels and fixing steam boilers. Over the years, we have embraced the evolving technology in ship repair, adhering to esteemed traditions handed down through generations—from father to son.

Transition to a Formal Entity

In 1965, keeping in stride with advancements in maritime repair technology, our operation took the significant step of incorporating as a company. This change marked a pivotal moment in our journey, enabling us to expand our services and continue our legacy of excellence in ship repair and maintenance.

Expansion and Growth

Our relocation to Tuzla, İstanbul in 1991 paved the way for significant expansion. A notable advancement came in 1999 with the inclusion of a Floating Dock, boasting a lifting capability of 3000 tonnes, exponentially enhancing our docking service alongside regular maintenance and repair offerings. Furthering our commitment to providing superior service, we upgraded this facility in 2007, augmenting our docking capacity to 5000 tonnes. This enhancement underscored our dedication to meeting the growing demands of the maritime industry.

In 1965, the outfit transformed into a corporate entity, embracing cutting-edge technologies in ship repair while preserving the time-honored traditions that have been its hallmark. This evolution underscored our commitment to excellence in the rapidly changing maritime repair industry.

Expansion and Modernization

The relocation to Tuzla, Istanbul, in 1991 marked a new chapter in our history, enabling us to offer enhanced services, including docking operations. The acquisition of a Floating Dock in 1999, with a lifting capability of 3000 tonnes, significantly augmented our service capabilities. Çindemir Shipyard: Evolving Maritime Maintenance

Beginning its journey in 1917 as a humble workshop for mending the iron components of wooden ships, Çindemir Shipyard has evolved immensely over the decades. It embarked on the repair of riveted sheet metals and steam boilers before officially incorporating in 1965. Adapting to the dynamic changes in vessel repair technology, the shipyard transitioned to Istanbul's Tuzla Shipyards Region in 1991, further amplifying its capabilities by incorporating a new floating dock capable of hoisting 5000 tons by 2007, thereby cementing its role in maintenance services.
